Young Thug invited Travis Scott and T.I. to join him for his first performance after being released from prison.
Under the Lyrical Lemonade brand, the Atlanta rapper gave his first performance since being released from prison in October 2024. Right from his comeback show, Young Thug received strong support — in addition to the previously mentioned rappers, Ken Carson also joined him on stage during the set.
The Atlanta rapper’s performance served as the grand finale of the three-day Lyrical Lemonade Summer Smash festival, held outdoors in Chicago. Travis Scott appeared on stage during the 15th song, performing his verse from “Hot” and then his solo hit “FEIN.” T.I. came out to perform “About the Money” — one of Thug’s earliest major collaborations from 11 years ago, back when he was first gaining popularity. Thug jokingly referred to T.I. as an “old man,” but the stage also featured a messenger from the future — Ken Carson. Together, they performed their joint track “R.I.P Scuti,” which is expected to be part of the upcoming summer release UY Scuti.
Before his release in October 2024, Thug had been in jail since May 2022, following his arrest on charges of leading the street gang YSL. Next month, the rapper is set to perform at festivals in Germany, Belgium, Romania, Switzerland, and Poland.
